Fixing Private Server Joining Errors

If you want to join the Jailbreak VIP Server and receive any error, such as error 524 or "not authorized to join," you need to make sure that you have restrictions turned off so that you can join the VIP server without any problems. To be clear, the VIP server is open to everyone, but Roblox has added restrictions that prevent some users from joining. In the most frequent scenario, if you set your account to under 13, Roblox will restrict you from joining no matter what changes you set below. However, if you have made sure your account is over 13, you should have account restrictions disabled, as the screenshot below shows. I want to mention again that this is not something I decided, but rather a result of Roblox's incompetent decisions. This is not only extremely frustrating when trying to play with friends, but also for me as a streamer when many of my audience members were not able to join me because their account was restricted from joining the VIP server I paid for, with nothing that I could do about it. If your account is not above 13, but you yourself are above 13, you would need to contact Roblox to fix the problem with verification proof, or you would need to make an account over 13. So now that you have a brief understanding of this error, and that you need to make sure your account is over 13, the next part will be actually enabling being able to join private servers.

Once you have made sure that your account has no restrictions and that it is over 13, you can proceed with the following. However, I first need to stress the importance of the above paragraph, as some players still do not understand that the server will not be accessible if their account age is set to under 13. Regardless, you should already be in Roblox settings. Click on the privacy section. This is where you can control if players can see your inventory and other things, and it also applies to who can invite you to join VIP servers. Scroll down in the privacy section until you find the other sections section, which should be towards the bottom. Click on "Who can make me a member of their private server?" From there, you will see multiple options in the dropdown menu. You need to click on "Everyone" so that you can join everyone who invites you to a private server, regardless of whether you are friends with them or not. If you are not able to make any changes in the drop down menu, it is once again important to note that you cannot have any account restrictions. You will need to read the paragraph above. However, if you were able to change the dropdown option to "Everyone," make sure that it saves the option and that you have no parental pin or control that would prevent the setting from saving. You should now be able to successfully join the VIP server through the public invite link.
